Introduction
Nomads do not live in the same place for an extended period but instead migrate from one location to another regularly. This phase is also known as relocation, and it is noncyclic and requires a complete change in habitat.

Nomadism does not mean aimless wandering; instead, it focuses on temporary settlements whose survival is entirely dependent on the availability of food and shelter and the technology to exploit it.

There are three nomadic hunters and gatherers: nomadic hunters and gatherers, pastoral nomads, and tinker or trader nomads.

Pastoral nomads

Pastoralists may rely solely on their herds or hunt or gather, practise some agriculture, or trade for grain and other products with agricultural peoples.

Tinker or trader nomads:

These forms of nomads can be found all over the world. They go from one location to the next, offering a swap. Agriculture and industrialisation have changed their lifestyle, and only a few nomads worldwide continue to live this way.

Nomadic hunters and gatherers are typically organised into small, independent bands that travel through a defined territory where they are familiar with water sources, plant locations, and game behaviour.

Populations may be more or less stable in places where resources are plentiful or where storage facilities exist.
