During the Covid-19 pandemic period, the whole of India was locked down and all schools were closed. It is now very important for schools to provide academic studies via distance learning. YaClass started its operations in December 2019 and already helped more than 15 schools to continue their students’ academics through distance learning by providing unique solutions for training and assessment. Major features include the ability for students to train and learn from their own mistakes by solving practical tasks on the platform. YaClass provides detailed explanations on how to understand and solve each task when mistakes are made. YaClass has an “infinite” amount of training material thanks to AI generation technology, thus making training tasks and opportunities essentially unlimited. The tasks can also be used by teachers to make assignments and assessments.
Teachers were very happy to assign these custom test works and monitor them from home, as well as conducting real time practice with the use of Microsoft Teams or Zoom. The YaClass team was working throughout the pandemic time conducting online pilot sessions for schools, teachers and school management. We have received good feedback from all schools and their students now use YaClass every day, with some school students solving up to 100 000 tasks.
YaClass has signed an agreement with Corpus Christi in Tamil Nadu for 322 licenses providing annual access to their students of Grades 6-9, in addition to another agreement with MKV Kandasamy Nadar Matric Hr Sec School for 450 licenses for the Grades 5-9. Many more schools are willing to sign license agreements post lock down to gain access to quality solutions for training, practical assignments and assessments. YaClass has published selected subjects for CBSE and State Board for grades 5 through 9 to allow schools to test the revolutionary platform.
YaClass Tech PVT LTD is transforming online education for students and teachers in India. The company was registered under the guidelines of MCA India in December 2019 and the office is located in Chennai. There are more than 15 regular employees working at the office. Due to the success of the YaClass pilot sessions, the Chennai office is being expanded with more than 20 professional content authors and editors who will work to create more CBSE, ICSE, and State Board curricula content for the coming school year.
