Construction:
Step 1:
Construct a base line segment \(PQ = 4 \ cm\).
Construct a base line segment \(QR = 6 \ cm\).
Construct a base line segment \(PR = 8 \ cm\).
Step 2:
With \(Q\) as centre, draw an arc of radius \(4 \ cm\).
With \(P\) as centre, draw an arc of radius \(6 \ cm\).
With \(R\) as centre, draw an arc of radius \(8 \ cm\).
Step 3:
With \(P\) as centre, draw an arc of radius \(4 \ cm\) which cuts the previous arc at \(P\).
With \(Q\) as centre, draw an arc of radius \(4 \ cm\) which cuts the previous arc at \(P\).
With \(R\) as centre, draw an arc of radius \(8 \ cm\) which cuts the previous arc at \(P\).
Step 4:
Join \(PQ\) and \(PR\).
Join \(QR\) and \(PR\).
Join \(PQ\) and \(QR\).
