If all the three rectangles are equal in dimension, then out the area of the region with slanting lines in the figure.

Area of the region with slanting lines is given by.

$x^{2} + 2 x y$
$x (x - y)$
$x^{2} - x y$
$(x + 2 y) x - 3 x y$

By expanding the expressions, verify that all three expressions are equivalent. If \(x = 9\) and \(y = 1\), find the area of the shaded region.

If \(x = 9\) and \(y = 1\), the the area of the shaded region \(=\) sq.units.
