1. Balance the following reactions:

a. \(BaCl_2\) + \(H_2SO_4\) → \(BaSO_4\) + \(HCl\)
b. \(Ca(OH)_2\) + \(HNO_3\) → \(Ca(NO_3)_2\) + \(H_2O\)
c. \(Pb(NO_3)_2\) → \(PbO\) + \(NO_2\) + \(O_2\)
d. \(MnO_2\) + \(HCl\) → \(MnCl_2\) + \(Cl_2\) + \(H_2O\)
 
 
2. When the powder of common metal is heated in open china dish its colour turns black. However, when hydrogen is passed over the hot black substance so formed, it regains its original colour. Based on the above information answer the following questions:
