All the variations in the species do have an equal chance of survivaldo not have an equal chance of survival  in the environment. The nature of the change influences the survival of these changes. Various individuals have different chances. The choice of variants by environmental factors forms the basis of geneticevolutionary processes.  These variations can increase decrease  individual survival benefits because of positive trait adoption.
