FossilSolidGasLiquid fuels will last only a few hundred years because they are exhaustible naturalartificialchemicalrenewable resources. If consumed faster than the rate at which these are formed in chemicalartificialrenewablenature, they will get exhausted very soon.

Once the current stock of these gets destroyedexhaustedburneddecomposed, no new supplies of these gassolidliquidfossil fuels will be available to us shortly because it requires millions of years to convert dead organisms into these fuels.
