A boy of mass \(50\ kg\) runs up a staircase of \(45\ steps\) in \(9\ s\). If the height of each step is \(15\ cm\), find his power. Take \(g\ =\ 10\ m s^{–2}\).

The formula to calculate the Power (\(P\)) is,

\(Power\ (P)\ =\ \frac{Work\ done}{Time}\)
\(Power\ (P)\ =\ {Work\ done} \times {Time}\)

\(P\ =\ \frac{m}{g \times h \times t}\)
\(P\ =\ m \times g \times h \times t\)
\(P\ =\ \frac{m \times g \times h}{t}\)
\(P\ =\ \frac{m \times g}{h \times t}\)

Substitute the values,

Power \(=\) \(W\)
