A 100 \(watt\) electric bulb is used for 5 \(hours\) daily and four 60 \(watt\) bulbs are used for 5 \(hours\) daily. Calculate the energy consumed in the units of \(kWh\) in the month of January.

[Note: Enter the answer up to two decimal places by rounding off the third decimal value].

The formula for electrical energy is

i=i×i

Energy used by 100 \(watt\) bulb is  \(Wh\).

Energy used by four 60 \(watt\) bulb is  \(Wh\).

Hence, the total energy used per day,

=i+i=iWh

On converting \(Wh\) to \(kWh\), we get  \(kWh\).

Number of days in January \(=\) 31 days

Energy used in January =i×i

Thus, the energy consumed by the bulbs in the month of January is  \(kWh\).
