Why is the circulation in man referred to as double circulation?
 
a. As the  circulates twice through the  in one complete cycle, it is called double circulation. In double circulation, oxygenated blood does not mix with deoxygenated blood.
 
b. The flow of oxygenated blood from the left ventricle to the various parts of the body and the return of deoxygenated blood to the right atrium is called the  circulation.
