Liquid medicines are in the form of solutions or mixtures, or syrup. It is given to the patients who have difficulty in swallowing medicines.

Tablet is a form of a solid unit dosage that is taken orally.

4) Topical medicines
Topical medicines are in the form of gel, cream, lotion, ointment and foam that is directly applied on the surface of the skin.

5) Suppositories
It is a medicated solid dosage in a conical/cylindrical shape, designed to be inserted into rectum or vagina that melts at the body temperature. It is another way to get in the drug to the body when oral administration is impossible.
