14. Operations with mixed fractions

1) Kiran went to shopping along with his three friends to buy cloth for stitching. The cloth needed for stitching is $3\frac{2}{3}$ meters, $7\frac{1}{2}$ meters and $9\frac{1}{4}$ meters, respectively. Find the total length of the cloth needed to be purchased.

 

Answer: $\frac{i}{i}$ meters.

2) Parvati bought $7\frac{1}{2}$ litres of water. She drank $3\frac{1}{4}$ litres of water. Find the quantity of water left behind.

4) A water bottle containing $3\frac{2}{4}$ litres of water is poured into $1\frac{3}{4}$ litres bottles. How many bottles are required to fill $3\frac{2}{4}$ litres of water? .
