Now, let us define integers.
Integers are the set of positive and negative numbers, including zero. Usually, it is written as …, \(-3\), \(-2\), \(-1\), \(0\), \(1\), \(2\), \(3\), ….
Some facts about integers:
1. The positive and the negative numbers together are called as Signed numbers. They are also called as Directed numbers.
2. If a number has no sign, then it is a positive number.
3. ‘\(–\)’ symbol in front of a number is read as 'negative' or 'minus'. For example, \(-1\) is read as minus \(1\) or negative \(1\).
