The process of converting scientific notation to decimal form can be determined using the following steps:
1. Shift the number of decimal mentioned in the power of $$10$$ and add zeros if necessary.

2. If the power of $$10$$ is positive shift the decimal to the right side. If the power of $$10$$ is negative shift the decimal to the left side.

3. Write the number in decimal form.
Example:
Convert the following numbers into decimal form: (i) $$5.23 \times 10^3$$ (ii) $$7.2 \times 10^{-4}$$

Solution:

(i) In the scientific notation $$5.23 \times 10^3$$, the power of $$10$$ is positive. So, let us shift the decimal to the right side. Thus, we have:

$$5.23 \times 10^{3} = 5230$$

Therefore, the decimal number is $$5230$$

(ii) In the scientific notation $$7.2 \times 10^{-4}$$, the power of $$10$$ is negative. So, let us shift the decimal to the left side. Thus, we have:

$$7.2 \times 10^{-4} = 0.00072$$

Therefore, the decimal number is $$0.00072$$
